• San Francisco Fixed Gear

It is likely obvious that I gear this website’s content and focus towards the build ups of my automotive related projects. It has never been a natural behavior of mine to share and broadcast more personal activities, which explains why I am largely absent from social media – aside from car stuff. Given how my […]

  • 1000W Electric Mid-Drive Felt DD30 Fat Bike

The stark truth is, I’m now old and no longer ride bicycles for commuting or leisure like I heavily did back in my college days. Too busy, and too lazy. I focus on my cardio and workouts by regularly going to the gym, so the need to get sweaty and grind my gooch away on […]

  • Audi e-bike Wörthersee

I think Audi really nailed it with this e-bike concept, which is designed to be positioned somewhere around & between a moped and a bicycle. Accompanying the whole green movement of current times, the hot topic nowadays is growing towards electric motorcycles. With offerings available from Brammo and Zero, for example. While the idea of […]

  • Running

In the past few months I did not exercise at all, or hardly. Now after getting my health back, I feel motivated to make up the lost time. Cycling has always been my preferred choice when it comes to an aerobic workout. However, since I have a dog, I’m shifting interests over to running so […]

  • Massan on Centennial

Here we go, I’ve been completely out of touch with fixed gears, but came across this video of Massan killing it down a huge hill. Centennial Road at the top of the UC Berkeley campus to be exact. This video is undertoned by an eerie soundtrack that makes the whole experience more tense.

  • Pedal Commute

A long-time member of this site’s fan club (1 of like… 3) reminded me that an update was overdue… so here I am indulging. At the same time, I realized I haven’t posted anything Cycling related in months, mainly because I’m not devoted to the sport as heavily anymore. In the past, cycling was a […]

  • Livermore Revisted

About a month early on this ride‘s anniversary, but I rode out to Livermore again last weekend. This is all making me wonder where the past year went, time seems to be going by faster and faster. Even though that day was particularly hot and sunny, I wanted to ride. For better or worse, I […]

  • Stay Busy

Had a good day at work this Friday… started off with a small road trip to Carmel and into the mountains. Homes like this one are why money needs to be made. Great views all around. At the end of the day, I was able to borrow my Dad’s road bike. Figured since I got […]

  • Hall of Meat

Last Sunday sucked. I got up that morning with the anticipation of going mountain biking. Checked the weather forecast the night earlier, finally seemed like it’d be clear. Just as I was about to start packing up and head out, I decided to take a quick peek out the window, only to realize it had […]

  • Urban Downhilling in Chile

Apparently this event is called the Cerro Abajo. Mobbing down those narrow sections looked intense, especially with spectators standing a foot away. Actually, the whole course is crazy. The organizers probably hired a 10 year old kid with a wild imagination to design the layout. El loco papi!!

  • Solo Plunge Run

I finally found the urge to ride again after 3 weeks of being generally lethargic and obscenely fat. Since I only had one class today in the morning, I went over to the Hayward Plunge in the afternoon. Here’s a picture of this waterfall near the beginning of the trail. Shortly after the waterfall, there is an […]
