While it’s still technically Winter, with the way the weather has been this weekend, it might as well be Spring.

The Garage has been home to many hours of work, but more or less forlorn in its own right. I decided to be productive, and divide some much needed attention to the garage itself.

The main objective was to make everything more accessible and semi-organized. My jurisdiction lies only on the left side of the garage, so I used that to my advantage and moved unwanted items over to the right side. :-) After a bit of cleaning, relocating, and discarding – I was done. The garage still looked ghetto, but you gotta work with what you got.

That brown, wooden shelf has a confused identity, since it was originally made to be in a kitchen.

I hung my wrenches and an assortment of screwdrivers on the wall, which thereby alleviated space inside the tool cabinet.

I’m definitely not one of those people that seemingly have every single tool possible in their garage, but I get by. I think just over the years of collecting and pilfering, I’ve amassed a reasonable inventory (also big ups to Sears and gift cards). To conclude, I went over my ratchet and socket set since they are so heavily used. All of the sockets were just stirred together in the top shelf of the tool cabinet. I cleaned out all the standard sockets since I’ve only ever used metric, which greatly made things more manageable.

I probably should have done this a while ago, or at least paid more attention to the upkeep… Imagine the hours I could have saved if I didn’t stall from filtering through a hoard of junk before finding what I needed.
